Property Management

Property management is a natural extension of Resource’s mission as a non-profit organization of serving persons along the whole continuum of housing needs – from rental to homeownership.  Resource employs a wholistic approach to property management and is in a unique position to take advantage of its internal assets and expertise.  Resource can make available its homebuyer education and counseling services to residents of its properties and assist those persons who desire and are ready for homeownership.  In addition, the Resource Contact Center supports its property management operations by providing residents with an accessible toll-free way to report maintenance issues.  Resource also uses technology to mitigate compliance risk through centralization, processing and tracking of the often voluminous amount of paperwork associated with affordable, rental housing.

Resource currently has an ownership in approximately 2,300 affordable rental units in the South.  The principals of Resource’s property management group have vast experience in effective management of affordable, rental housing of all types,  including housing financed in whole or in part by the following:

• USDA, Rural Development
• HUD
• Low-Income Housing Tax Credits
• HOME Funds
• Tax-Exempt Bonds
• Conventional Financing
